2. I have concerns re why gov't felt need to monitor & surveil women when so-called activity is not illegal. Their own docs suggests majority of women had genuine links in Canada (i.e. family) and instead they were painted as taking advantage of our #cdnimm #citizenship system.

3. Our #cdnimm system allows "dual" intention on why ppl coming to Can. For eg. s/o can be coming as a visitor but have long-term plans to move to Canada since they are in a relationship with s/o. There r so many complicated reasons why "foreign" nationals are coming.

4. As a #law researcher, fd conclusions made re that women were "birth tourists" seemed speculative & did not take acct other reported factors why going to Can. Fd disturbing women denied coming to Can by claiming not that they were "birth tourists" but b/c they misrep'd/lied

5. This is a dangerous & disturbing trend that (according to docs) #CBSA & airlines are judging women on what is their "true" reason for going to Canada and using #cdnimm #legal regime to deem them inadmissible due to misrepresentation when there could be myriad valid reasons.

6. I also fd curious that this was done against racialized persons. Is this happening in Europe? Is this happening w/ white travelers from the US? Let's think ab what these #cdnimm enforcement fear.
