#NHS mentioned by 17% | 2020 was year of contrast - 44% in Jan'20 but as pandemic hit our worries about healthcare/NHS transferred to #coronavirus

Concerns about #economy went the other way; average level of concern during 2020 was 30% exceeding previous 4 years

Salience of #unemployment peaked at 19% in autumn 2020 | One to watch this year

#poverty #inequality relatively static; average of 15% across 2020 was similar to previous years (but nb highest ever concern in January)

Several issues became less top-of-mind than they were/ disrupted by Covid, incl. #environment

Even more dramatic change for #crime - now only 3% spontaneously identify it as among the most important issues facing the country vs 20% in Feb (and it's never been lower than 3%!)

Concern about #immigration had already fallen pre-pandemic; visible in annual averages - 8% across 2020, a fifth of what it was in 2016

#education schools and #ukhousing also less salient as crowded out

... so too 'lack of faith in government/politicians'!
