My mental models of the 'developed' and 'developing' world are being shattered right now.
India seems to be dealing with COVID very well, while the Netherlands is acting weirder and weirder (not even talking about the US)

In India, most are wearing masks, there are hand sanitizers everywhere.
Dutch people are *still* not mostly wearing masks - and inside shops (where it's mandatory) they sometimes have the mask down.
India has 75x the number of people, but just 2x the cases compared to NL

And there was a 7pm curfew in Jaipur (city in India with population around 3 million), it was peaceful.
NL has a 9pm-4.30am curfew and there are riots - unseen since the second world war.
wtf??
And oh yes, the Dutch government has been forced to resign because of a scandal.

To me, all of this is quite unbelievable and just doesn't fit with what I have learned - through many sources - about 'developed' and 'developing' countries.
The world is way more interesting than I had imagined.
