We talk about race in TTRPGs a bit, but TTRPG & DnD TikTok specifically, needs to do much better. One of the things that’s been bothering me is Cis, white creators, particularly with larger audiences making statements saying “I won’t make my page political, I only do comedy.” 1/

I’ll go into comment sections and it’s people who look like them agreeing with them and patting them on the back. And that’s fine and all, your page your decision, but the moment you announce it like that, it feels like you denounce your POC and minority audiences. 2/

I know TikTok suppresses your views afterwards if you post about SJ topics, if that’s your livelihood, then sure, be careful, but don’t go out of your way to make statements to say that you’ll stay out of politics. That only provides a safe place to the oppressors. 3/
