Years of austerity was just political choice.

In my life I’ve learned there IS a magic money tree.

It’s a rich people’s magic money tree and it’s ALWAYS in flower.

When the tree was shaken, hundreds of billions fell from it.

The fact is we could have afforded to do...

...much better.

Too many are not paying any tax at all.

We need a better way of accessing this wealth.

I spoke to tax planners and the first question was ‘would you live abroad?’

It’s a problem, because many competitors are paying little or no tax.

I’d hope I don’t...

The secret is to:

1. Encourage wealth generation.
2. Tax it fairly.
3. Spend it wisely.

We can’t have these international giants paying less than their fair share.

The reason I don’t like paying more tax is that I’m already paying..

...miles more than many, including MPs.

Money goes to money and it has to have a fair tax applied.

Football is like a hyper exaggerated copy of our economy.

Clubs going bust was/is just built in by design....

....it doesn’t have to be this way.

As I say to our Wham team...

...the business is like it is because WE make it that way.

We win or lose as a business because of OUR choices.

We win or lose football clubs because of OUR choices.

We have opportunity and carry responsibility for any situation we end up in.
