The House in Fata Morgana was excellent. The characters were fantastic, rich in depth and flawed in all the right ways, Michel and Giselle have one of the most heartwarming dynamics ever and I just wanted to see them find happiness. The atmosphere was incredibly top notch,
Michel is easily one of the best protagonists I've seen. His journey of self-worth and identity was gut wrenching, tragic and above all unfair yet his unwavering determination as a result of Giselle's actions was inspiring and resulted in one of the best conclusions to a
character arc I've seen. Pacing was also fantastic, which is an accomplishment for a VN since many of those can tend to feel longer than they really should be. Fata never once felt like it dragged and every single scene felt important to either the grander narrative or the
narrative within the doors
Something I was particularly impressed by is how wonderfully Fata portrays its time periods, The Middle Ages in particular. It captures the power religion had on the masses, the prejudices, ignorance and general fear of the unknown that permeated that era impeccably.
