Pivot Asset Holding, meanwhile, a company with links to G42 including though Al Ahdali, who is also on Pivot's board, is financing the construction of a Huawei-built data centre called Apollo-1, the first of a series for G42's use.
G42 is also interested in teaming with Israeli technology companies. It opened an office in Tel Aviv a few weeks ago after signing partnerships with Elta Systems, the electronic warfare subsidiary of Israel Aerospace industries (IAI) in July.
This cocktail of Israeli technology funded by the UAE with Chinese infrastructure is causing considerable unease in Washington.
