so many of you have forgotten what it’s like to be a teenage girl. if you had it bad growing up, just imagine what teenage girls are faced with today. teen fucking vogue tells us that rape porn and rape kinks are valid and feminist and pushes anal sex on us, we go on tiktok
and immediately are inundated with videos about how to become a stripper or a sugar baby and brainwashed by the top 1% of creators on onlyfans that we could be that successful too and can’t wait until we turn 18 and are finally “legal”. not only that, but men increasingly
get away with preying on us, fetishizing us, turning “age play” (pedophilia) into a kink. most of us were groomed by multiple men on the internet growing up, pushed to send nude photos to strangers and we must live with the knowledge that they may be circling the internet still.
this generation of girls, me and my peers, are the most collectively damaged girls in decades. we’ve been exploited since childhood and are increasingly pushed to commodify ourselves for onlyfans and breastaurants, increasingly preyed on by men who wish to harm us, brainwashed by
kink and sex positivity and so on. and it seems like nobody cares. not even people who call themselves feminists. it feels hopeless. being a teenage girl is a prison and yet so many of us are terrified of aging because then we’ll be past our expiration date, no longer
desirable to men, and therefore have no value at all. the first time i bought an anti-aging cream was when i was 13. i cried about seeing a line on my forehead last week. we are constantly aware of the ticking clocks over our heads, of when we will no longer be wanted, desired,
and valued by society. being a teenage girl is miserable and the most frustrating thing is that when my clock runs out, there’s going to be another 13 year old girl who replaces me, millions of more girls who will be put through this cycle again, but worse each time.
it feels that there is no end. how do we stop this cycle? how do we save tomorrow’s teenage girls? is there hope? i don’t know. i am not sure if i want to know the answer.
