Ok, Earlier today, @RealAtheology put a tweet on everything wrong with American Evangelicals, Or as my good friend @Lionheart213072 says "Fundagelicals'' This will be a thread on Reasons why I think it is terrible and more-so killing Christianity. Despite me not being a Christian
Reason 1: Extreme Anti-Intellectualism.

that being said, it created a lot of hatred and dogmatic views as well, such as YEC, Irrational strict views of the bible, ignorance of church history, Academic Illiteracy, and strong distrust of Social Changes.
Reason #2: Hero Syndrome.
American Fundigelicals have created this ''urge'' to save others who are not with Christ. I call this Hero Syndrome because many of them do not understand that not everyone is a Christian and not Everyone wants to be one for X Amount of Reasons.

Reason #3: Creates More Atheists Than Atheists Themselves.
Many Atheists in America today have lost the faith because of the Lack Of Education, Social Changes, Family or Friends hurt because of it. This is one of the BIGGEST causes of Christians leaving the Faith.

Reason #4: The Politicalization Of Christianity

it. When you live in a diverse nation such as the USA, it becomes a problem for some people who are not of Christianity, Laws such as enforcing creationism in schools, teaching Evolution is a Lie, Mischaracterization of Atheists, Etc. This is a problem for Minorities.
Reason #5: Too Tribal and Dogmatic.
Of course, we as humans are Tribal in nature, Fundies have not contributed any good things from American Evangelicalism. The breeding of "ALL LGBT, ATHEISTS, MUSLIMS'' or what have are turned away from Christianity because of this thinking.

Thus creating a very breeding ground of Hatred and Distrust from LGBT, Atheists, Muslims, You name it! The dogmatic thinking of American Evangelicalism has done more harm than good.
Reason #6: The Rise Of White Nationalism
This is more recent but very true. White Nationalist have taken Christianity and have used it as a means for their Identity (Despite its a Jewish Religion) and have used it to be the fill in Religion that they wish to spread unto others.

That being said, I maybe starting to a be a bit repetitive, but is indeed also the reason why so many people are turned away from Christianity, and puts a bad name on honest sincere Christians who mean well, no different when they label all Muslims as Terrorists.
Reason #7: It Killed the Gospel.
If anything, this is the sad truth. Fundies have bastardized and weaponized the Gospel of Christ with a Narrative that twists and shifts the Compassionate, Caring, and Moral Framework of Jesus Christ. This is arguably the most sad one of all.
