Somebody lost a lot of tendies and is mad about it I think. 😬 https://twitter.com/GriffinMalone6/status/1354249197927559169
@wsbmod any comments here?
If I had a dollar for every time I heard this phrase mentioned on the subreddit I could probably afford space tourism.

@IwriteOK weights in on things. https://twitter.com/IwriteOK/status/1354532882585329665?s=19
I just have to add, this is pretty big...
You can't join the discord anymore because the amount of subscribers has been maxed. According to this there's 81,949 members of the discord currently online.
A few years ago I learned about WSB, and started following them. The group was originally created as a subreddit made up of floor traders during the aftermath of the 2008 housing crisis.
When I started following them, one of the people I met described the group as "if 4Chan got a bloomberg terminal".
Here's a sample of what the discord chat looks like on the inside, I believe this was the dedicated chat for options, there are other rooms for other financial products. This is from May 1st 2020.
This meme is used to explain WSB to newcomers and encourage people to explore options trading most likely without fully understanding it.
I've mainly seen the group use RobinHood as they're trading platform although I know that they are on others, I believe the larger players are on platforms like E-Trade and Charles Schwab. This is another meme I've seen floating around.
I've seen people post huge gains and huge losses, literally overnight, with incredible positions. These guys are literally using insurance products as a betting instrument.
Back when the Fed started aggressively lowering interest rates and the market crashed these were some of the memes being circulated.
With the price of Bitcoin recently spiking above $40,000 I have no doubt that they are members of WSB that unloaded more than a few. This is a group that survives off of speculative trading. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are right up their alley.
Has anybody heard of a stock market bubble?

A few more as I dig back into my notes, these are from around March 26th 2020. Around this time WSB had an extremely unhealthy obsession with a popular twitch streamer.
This is just one account that hit six figures. There are many more within WSB in the last two or three years I've seen over a half dozen newly minted millionaires. https://twitter.com/GriffinMalone6/status/1354492368653697024?s=19
And it looks like this confirms it, 4chan still has a Bloomberg terminal. https://twitter.com/IwriteOK/status/1354578421909647363?s=19
It appears as if the WSB discord server has gone offline. I doubt this will be for long. https://twitter.com/GriffinMalone6/status/1354580248667410432?s=19
Here's a pretty good thread which sums up what I think happened with GameStop: https://twitter.com/toxic/status/1353890766800621569?s=19
