People that get challenged for their view and then scream "this is online abuse" are the worst kind of people on here
If you engage in public debate and discourse, you can't be free of the consequences of that because you've agreed to put yourself out there.
Death threats and hate speech = bad
Telling people they're wrong = acceptable
Telling people they're wrong = acceptable
I ran for election when I was just 19 years old. Did I get shouted at by people who didn't support me? Yes. Is that part of the job? Also yes. So put up and carry on making your argument, or just shut up and go home.
My point is that you shouldn't do politics if you're gonna be a baby and cry when someone argues with you. If you feel threatened, then that's a different matter with clear channels for resolution.
