In a nutshell... wealthy people are setting up charitable NP orgs to avoid tax & to raise funds which may then be used to further certain goals without any public scrutiny or accountability. Amongst these wealthy individuals & groups are Vanguard, Charles SCHWAB, Fidelity & more.
