Vince Dunn is on the trade block according to @FriedgeHNIC.
He's a total analytical darling, with excellent playdriving numbers at both ends. But he's been deployed very very hesitantly by the Blues, with low quality of teammates and miniscule quality of competition. #stlblues

Similar isolated results from this season are not reliable yet. But in terms of on-ice numbers nothing really stands out - he is lowest on the team in xGF% but not exactly getting caved in out there.
Here's the big one - his on-ice goals against are over twice his expected goals against.
So the quuestion is are his goalies letting him down compared to the chances he's giving up? Or have the chances against been more dangerous than what xG models have measured?

It's very possible than Dunn is in that genre of analytical darling defenceman who are disliked by fans because when they get beat, they get /beat/.
I've seen some examples of him getting walked that might point to that explanation.

Dunn's underlying numbers say top-four or even top-pairing defenceman. His coaches say hell no. Are they missing something, or is his skillset such that he can only properly succeed in a limited role (or paired with a superstar like Pietrangelo)?
People keep saying it's because Dunn gets walked embarrassingly quite a bit. @JhanHky How difficult would that be to coach out of a 24 year old?
