“My preffered candidate in the primary, or GOP election didn’t win. The GOP is DOOMED. We are NEVER going to win again. I’m not giving my time, money, efforts anymore.”

I hear those statements far too often. (THREAD)
I’m more on the conservative side and not anywhere near aligned with moderate Republicans. I am politically aware that some candidates are in the middle for certain reasons. (I live in purple AZ)

Do I agree with them? No.
But I’ll take an honest moderate, climate change, type of Republican over a leftist any day in office. I feel that those type of Republicans can’t say the same thing about conservatives.

We experience it every primary election in AZ.
Martha McSally was NOT my preferred candidate in 2018 but I still voted for her and told others.

In 2020, I helped organize a 300+ walking event for her. (I actually do like Martha McSally. She’s a good person) but I can name off “Republicans” who did not help her bc
She was aligned with Trump. How sad is that? I hope they feel really good about themselves now that Mark Kelly is essentially the most powerful vote for Biden and Kamala’s radical agenda the next 4 years. Hint: he’s not going to be as bi-partisan as you think.
Republicans that “take their ball and go home” to form the Patriot or MAGA party or be one of those Republicans that throws stones at the nominee or party chair because their guy didn’t win fail to understand that we are, and have always been, essentially a 2 party country.
If you’re upset with the GOP, GOOD! There are bad Republicans, they deserve to be held accountable. But if you aren’t actively involved in your precinct, legislative, congressional district, county and state party.

You have no one to blame but yourself when your guy loses.
You can’t sit and say “the GOP is x, y, or z” or “ we aren’t addressing climate change.” That change you want is not coming from DC or even your state capitol. Lobbying Congress will not and should not change the GOP platform. The faithful who show up to local, state, national
meetings do. You honestly should know who your National Committeeman and woman are if you really want to stay up to date on the RNC. Get to know them. (Some national reps are good, some aren’t very reliable). It’s up to you.
The point is winners never quit. Recruit a better candidate, hold better events, learn the culture, stop hiring DC consultants, don’t look down on the grassroots, don’t look down on all seasoned politicians. We have way too much at stake. Be a better activist.
