One of the things that struck me hardest concerning Law’s character and motivations is actually this one little scene at the introduction of zou. Law’s mission against Doflamingo was more or less a suicide quest. but this is where he outright states it. And I think why this
statement strikes me as so powerful is because Law, fundamentally, is a survivor. This is the kid that crawled his way out of Flevance through sheer spite and after losing everything for the second time, still managed to pick up and rebuild the pieces of himself.
So my point is that Law, who has built himself up a future from nothing, who hates the hell out of the World Government but is willing to ally himself with them and also risk and yank on Kaidou’s leash to see Doflamingo dead speaks really heavily of twitter things:
1. Law’s capacity for vengeance, his cruelty and determination and spite, all of which are really fundamental forces of his character, but more importantly.....
2. his dedication to Corazon. any and every other goal in Law’s life is overruled by Law’s need to avenge Corazon. His own well being, the well being of the world, his crew whom he leaves behind. that is some serious dedication and will! and love.
