Yep, I love it. It’s great. No one will be happier than me if we face reality that schools are safe. Here’s the part that tells me we won’t be facing that reality:
If we are social distancing, there will be no full-time school in places like NYC. There is no space. Picture your child's classroom. Now picture 6 feet between kids. How many kids can fit? Half the class? That's how we get the "hybrid" model that is a bunch-o-crap.
Every time you read "yes, schools are safe, they should open, all we have to do is wear masks and social distance" understand they are saying schools can't really open. Success Academy admitted this last week.
We have to fight the social distance requirement (which has been dropped by school districts all over the world) or accept that schools are not opening full-time in September. Those are the only two options.
There is no third option. We can not double or triple school spaces. We can not build new school buildings to accommodate half (or fewer!) the number of students. We can not have double or triple the number of teachers.
