BREAKING NEWS: Please RETWEET this major revelation about a secretive January 5 meeting at the Trump International Hotel that involved top advisers to the president and leading insurrectionists. 1/ What the FBI must now determine—in addition to the items I listed in the article—is whether Trump himself was (1) present at the meeting in person, (2) on speakerphone during the meeting (his M.O. for meetings he doesn't want to be placed at) or (3) briefed about it afterward.
2/ Trump has a history of calling in to meetings by speakerphone that he considers it unwise to attend in person—I detail many such in my Proof books—but it may be that he was present at this meeting in the flesh. Otherwise he gave his sons access to his private residence for it.
3/ Herbster may have been allowed at the meeting because he was *arguably* a presidential adviser—meaning he couldn't be forced to divulge to the FBI what was discussed there. But it's not clear that the president's *presence* at the meeting (in person or by phone) is privileged.
4/ Alternatively, Michael Flynn may be facing charges for his conduct prior to and during the insurrection—and this time Trump can't pardon him. The last time Flynn faced charges he immediately offered to cooperate. He might well do the same thing this time, and dime out Trump.
5/ As media and law enforcement investigate this critical meeting—easily the most important meeting we know of so far in the whole January 6 insurrection fact-pattern—it must be properly framed as a combined Trump family, Trump campaign, Trump White House, Congressional meeting.
6/ If you look at the nine *confirmed* attendees to the meeting—note: there may well have been others—you have Michael Flynn, 2 Trump family members, 2 Trump administration members, 2 Trump campaign advisers, 1 member of Congress, and 1 member of an outside organization (RAGA).
7/ This event has the makings of a "summit"—as Flynn and Piper could easily be classified as "2 January 6 organizers" rather than how I classified them above. In other words, this was a Meeting of the Five Armies:
Family
Administration
Campaign
Organizers
Congress
Family Administration Campaign Organizers Congress
8/ Tuberville's is the *first name* Herbster put in his Facebook post. The odds that Herbster lied about the *very first attendee at the January 5 meeting* that he publicly listed is virtually zero. Tuberville is going to have a *lot* to answer for in the next few hours and days.
