I know this is a difficult topic for many people to address and discuss. It is for me because so much of this hits close to home but the abuse of victims is completely inexcusable.

This is a thread about Exodus Cry. Be warned, they work under the guise of aiding survivors...

1/
This thread is about human trafficking, abuse, sex work, pornography, and more.

I understand not everyone can read this, I hope this is helpful to survivors to find the right group. Its not Exodus Cry, please reconsider working with them if you are.

This organization's prime goal is to abolish sex work, not help victims of human trafficking. Look them up: Exodus Cry.

They're backed by a "Biblically Responsible Investing" group called Timothy Plan which strives to uphold "core Christian values."

3/
Exodus Cry's 2018 tax returns state that their mission statement is abolish the sex work industry and pornography entirely, NOT to aid victims of human trafficking or to end human trafficking.

They spend more money making movies than *anything else*.

4/
Besides making movies, Exodus Cry's primary focus has been the war on Pornhub.

Despite negatively affecting sex workers by risking their livelihood, the group has pressed forward with its continued obsessive battle to end sex work and pornography.

"cases involve the anti-pornography advocates Alexander Rhodes, founder of NoFap, and neurosurgeon Donald L. Hilton, author of 'He Restoreth My Soul: Understanding and Breaking the Chemical and Spiritual Chains of Pornography Addiction Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.'"

9/
Exodus Cry is a globally reaching, UN sanctioned, organization that snubs out other groups trying to do actual advocacy for survivors under the guise of helping them while backed and founded on Christian and anti-LGBTQ principles which use survivors' plight for content.

10/
For any survivors who need help or need someone to reach out to, please reconsider working with Exodus Cry. They are not actually concerned with ending human trafficking, their goals are entirely different and they use this plight to abuse peoples' empathy.

11/
If you are a survivor and need help, please reach out to groups like RAINN, this page has a lot of very useful links for all different types of people and situations. There are people out there who will help and who care, please reach out.

As an addendum, this thread is not at all arguing the existence/nonexistence of porn addiction, rather its the group's obsession with threatening researchers investigating it and with ending pornography and sex work over helping survivors which is strange.

13/
Addendum 2, I am not defending the porn industry at all, I know from my personal life from people very close to me in the industry that it is horrible to performers.

These groups use/abuse performers' image rights and make them agree to the most fucked up contracts...
