Instead of asking people to tag their favorite BIPOC creators, I recommend white people train their algorithms.
YouTube, Instagram, tiktok--they will all be very white until you teach them otherwise.
If you see a BIPOC, watch, comment, share.

I'm not saying to do this if you dislike the content... But keep an open mind and be aware of your bias.
It takes work to train your algorithm. It's easy but it's not automatic. The algorithm is biased from the get go.

It will be fastest if you interact with every BIPOC post you see, but that doesn't mean you have to. You can be choosy. Just keep an open mind.
White is the default on every app. (And in life) let's dismantle that!

And this doesn't mean you won't see white ppl on your pages either, it just means you'll teach it "im good with variety!!"
Try it out!

Also :
many people mistakenly think that BIPOC "want a handout" and for people to follow even if you don't like our content. No! We just want an even playing field.
Don't you see there's an issue if you have to teach your algorithm to show you BIPOC?

This is why we try so hard to uplift each other. Because if we don't, then who or what will?
