I was a militant athiest teenager and now I'm using "well Jesus was an anti-status-quo punk so you need to be more like him when you're caught between your church and your faith."

If your church isn't respecting COVID precautions, they're unChristlike.
If it comes down to "What would Jesus want me to do?", my money is solidly on:

1) not hurting others

2) not following unChristlike men bc they happen to be in the pulput

3) practicing your faith with integrity especially if it's hard
Jesus flipped tables.

Jesus told people to pluck their eyes out instead of placing the blame of them looking on the person they looked at.

Jesus was a shitstarting boat rocking anti-establishment punk. We'd all do better to remember that, not the whitewashed western hippy.
And for the record, I'm still not religious.

I don't believe in Heaven or Hell or any of the shit accidentally or maliciously mistranslated by men writing the Bible.

I do believe in following after the character of good people, no matter what culture or religion they're from
I'm decidedly not religious.

I will ALWAYS use what I know to support those I love when they're having a crisis of faith and need support they aren't getting from their church.

You want to be a better Christian? I will do whatever I can to support that. Be Christian! Be punk!
