Talking heads must not call it the "Trump base." It’s the Republican base, & even those now in the Lincoln Project must admit that, for years as Republicans, they participated in pouring the gasoline. Trump just lit the match. He didn’t create the division & pour all the fuel.
@ProjectLincoln: Are you for restoring the Voting Rights Act? Are you for healthcare for all? living wages? just immigration law? justice for indigenous ppl? If not, then you must admit yr policy positions are the same ones the @GOP has used for over 50yrs to divide the country.
Trump inherited the division many Republicans created, and he exploited it all the way to violence.
