26ish hours post dose 2 and I am feeling MUCH better. Honestly yesterday evening rough, about 12 hours post shot was worst for me but that has varied with my co-workers.
No fever but definitely aches, chills, sniffles and generally feeling like shit along with the expected sore arm. I would have been useless at work or taking care of kids.
I did take advil at bedtime since my knees were still in rough shape and I have zero regrets. I would schedule dose 2 carefully if you have the flexibility and not recommend both parents in a household getting vaccinated the same day!
This morning I feel almost 100% better, still a tender arm but the rest of my side effects are happily gone. So grateful to have has this experience instead of COVID!
I am incredibly lucky to have early access to this vaccine as a BSL3 lab worker who regularly handles high titer virus stocks. And because of our closeness to the vaccine work, we have been very aware of how side effects might hit our lab members.
I highly encourage everyone to get vaccinated as soon as they are able to, but also for employers to be flexible and allow time off for side effects.
