I have seen the visuals of #किसान_नहीं_गुंडे ,so called #FarmersProstests ! The visuals are infuriating. But I unilaterally back Modi-Rajnath-Doval-Shah n entire Central govt n will not indulge in targetting them with bad language ! Do read this thread once and RT if agreed (1/n)
Criticising is 1 thing, here what I have been seeing is some using words like weak ,coward and some even worse things. When there is a big success these same people would be at the other end and heaping unrealistically huge praises. (2/n)
Flashback 2013: UPA rule and for Breaking India Forces (BIFs) ,RDX Bomb blasts are the norm. Whether it is Hyderabad (Dilsukhnagar) or Bodhgaya or Patna , blasts keep happening. People accustomed to serial blasts so a single bomb blast doesn’t even shock anyone. (3/n)
Flashback 2014: Modi ascends to PM chair and Rajnath is HM,Doval NSA. Security agencies given free hand, right men picked for the right job.
But terrorists network are entrenched and busting takes time. Besides attacks in J&K, we have a bomb blast in Bengaluru. (4/n)
But as agencies given free hand, attacks’ frequency reduces.
Flashback: 2015 and 2016: Coast Guard foils a 26/11 repeat around new year.
Outside J&K, we have 2 attacks in Punjab, Gurdaspur and Pathankot. Timely intelligence ensures no damage to assets in Pathankot. (5/n)
Meanwhile terrorist attacks in Manipur and J&K (Uri) are replied by surgical strikes in Myanmar and PoK respectively. Somewhat unprecedented and surprising for Indians. Team Modi hailed. Background work continues on security. (6/n)
Flashback late 2016-2017: RDX bomb blasts are now becoming difficult, BIFs now adopt a new target - Railways. A pretty easy target and one after the other , several attempts made to derail trains, within few weeks. Sometimes tracks uprooted and sometimes obstacles placed. (7/n)
Alert motormen and other railway staff save many lives, but they need to succeed everytime which they may not. The Indore-Patna express thus could not be saved and it’s derailment causes loss of 150 lives. Nobody knows when these attempts will end. (8/n)
Railways is afterall a very soft target. Thousands of kms of network, thousands of trains daily. But these series of attacks do stop, how, it’s difficult to answer as network is too big. Also, 2018-19 turn out to be amongst the safest years for railways. Not counting 2020. (9/n)
Flashback Mid 2017: Na xal problem being bigger, is more difficult. Overall decrease in na xal related deaths since 2014, but they succeed in an attack in Sukma leading to martyrdrom of 26 CRPF Jawans. HM Rajnath Singh mocked as Kadi Ninda and Nindanath. (10/n)
But free hand to security agencies ensures na xals attack decrease. The number of districts in red corridor continue to decrease. Also insurgent attacks decrease in Northeast.
India getting more secured. Even in J&K many terrorists killed and attacks reduce. (11/n)
Flashback 2019: Election close and National Security a big USP of Modi with movies like Uri the surgical strike solidifying his position further. BIFs manage to do Pulwama, this time well prepared for surgical strikes. They think they broke Modi’s USP. (12/n)
But Balakot happens and as all involved aircraft return safely Modi’s USP only solidifies. India chooses Modi again. Now Shah joins the govt as HM. Welcomed by twitter RW including those who wrongly mocked Rajnath. BIFs now realise that they need 2 change their strategies. (13/n)
In first term ,they tried to incite dominant castes against BJP wherever possible. Now in Modi’s 2nd term they are inciting various other groups, not necessarily linked by castes. First they try the easiest, the mooz limbs. They incited them in June 2019 and then post CAA. (14/n)
Shaheen Bagh was necessary to try to awaken Hs on need for CAA. However Delhi riots 2020 were an intelligence failure. They would have happened irrespective of Shaheen Bagh due to Trump visit ! But this failure cost us lives but the government has caught many culprits. (15/n)
Now the BIFs have been trying to incite a group ,which cuts across castes and religions. Farmers. They gathered thousands, primarily from Punjab and some from Haryana and UP and blocked Delhi’s borders. (16/n)
Any high handed hard approach by government would have only put Punjab on fire as the Khalistocommies want ! A single death due to police firing would have flared passions in Punjab.
Most of us accept this fact.
(17/n)
While twitter RW people are smart to realise who are behind these protests, but that’s not the case with most Indians. When it comes to farmers, most Indians become emotional which reduces their rationality. Government knows this. (18/n)
Hence , they talked to farmers, even if farmers didn’t vacate. They even went 2 steps backward. Else ,public sympathy for protestors would have increased. Most anyways don’t go into details of issues so wouldn’t have bothered about merits of the protests. (19/n)
But that government has been humble, has had 11 rounds of talks with them, even accepted 2 of their demands and has offered a long rope middle path for them of 18 months is seen by all and their rejection of these offers has only gone against them. (20/n)
After 11th round govt finished talks with final offer. So till now , the Kahlistocommies bait to govt by blocking borders to invite violent action from govt did not work as govt dealt patiently. But they could not have gone home failed so they insisted on tractor rally. (21/n)
1000s of tractors had already come in and they were insistent on parade in Delhi. Govt only had 2 choices. 1)Deny them permission , in which they would have not relented and there would have been violence at Delhi’s borders which could have been easily blamed on government (22/n)
by saying that it did not give permission despite farmers leaders assurances of peaceful rally.
2)Give them permission with fixed routes and deploy forces.
This is what govt did. It is not that they had not anticipated the wrongdoings. They did that’s why forces deployed. (23/n)
But government obviously couldn’t have given permission for bullets, since that is exactly what Khalistocommies would have wanted- blood on the streets of alleged farmers, whom they could then present as martyrs and fuel K sentiments in Punjab saying that H majority govt... (24/n)
... killed Sikhs. That is why they provoked to the extent of going to Red Fort. See this, entire planning was there. Any bullet by police on #किसान_नहीं_गुंडे would have made martyrs of them. But their plan failed as no alleged farmer has died of bullet injuries. (25/n) https://twitter.com/aamaadmiparty/status/1353745691894398978
The alleged farmer leaders inciting crowds thus have only turned into Harakiri. Now everyone especially the not as much smart as twitter RW common public has seen the real face of these protestors today. They have undone their work of past 2-3 months. (26/n)
Those visuals of them rioting are all over and now they have lost all public sympathy ! This is evident with so called farmers organisations now washing their hands off the protests. Even politicians like Punjab CM had to criticise them. (27/n)
The government on its part will not let go of the rioters. It has not let gone of Bhima Koregaon rioters, or of JNU tukde tukde gang or the Delhi 2020 rioters. Even today’s rioters wouldn’t be spared. And now no one would question govt’s actions. (28/n)
Thankfully the #किसान_नहीं_गुंडे protestors have failed in their main motive of getting some of their foot soldiers killed at the hands of police, else, the emotions of seeing an entire state in flames would have been more than what we are going through today. (29/n)
I hope the injured Delhi Police personnel recover soon. Had to post this thread coz we need to back our leaders amidst this complex situation. These are d most challenging times of Modi era. Had already put thread on why so.
Do check if interested. Ending this thread (30/n) (n/n) https://twitter.com/bhs7rocks/status/1335279476213596163
