Normally, the D.C. National Guard doesn't require specific permission to save lives and protect the capital city.

This was no mistake. Trump's co-conspirators removed the normal ability of patriots to DEFEND ELECTED OFFICIALS FROM BEING MURDERED, and then curiously were unavailable as Congress pleaded for their lives.
So, the Trump traitors' official line is that because McCarthy ordered helicopters to violate the Geneva Convention against protesters in June, they were *forced* to make the commander of the D.C. National Guard talk to MOSCOW MIKE FLYNN'S BROTHER while they waited for the coup.
Let us not forget how many times they've changed their stories - and how they strangely left Mike Flynn's brother out of the story, even though apparently he put the friction in so the D.C.
