the harassment & judgment women face for choosing to be childfree vs the harassment & judgment mothers face are two sides of the same coin.

reproductive choices are the primary method to shame and control women - the irony being it doesn't matter which choice you actually make.

I know many childfree feminists can feel ignored or even alienated when I direct my energy to advocate for mothers, and I'm sorry for that.

I see you, I hear you, I respect you.

know we are fighting the same battle against the same enemy and we can't win if we fight each other.

tbh I am absolutely certain the judgment & criticism childfree women experience is bc the position is so powerful.

childfree allows u to move through the world unencumbered by unpaid & unappreciated labor of motherhood, which means to move through the world *almost* like a man.

if society cannot bankrupt you with daycare costs or stepping back from your career, if it cannot criticize you for bottle-feeding/home/school/etc bc you don't do those things, what is left?

Nothing. So they make stuff up like "oh ur life is unfulfilled". They know it isn't true

criticizing, shaming & judging childfree women is a power-grab.

Childfree women have dodged the most oppressive state of being a woman (motherhood) in order to live beautiful autonomous lives they get to be the centre of.

Truly nothing else can infuriate the patriarchy more.
