Most of the investment world thinks in % annual gains. But I think more in terms of 2x, 5x, 10x, 100x, etc.

It’s always made more sense to think of it that way.
Thinking solely on annual % gains tends to promote more shorter-term focus IMO.

I like to think in decades - 10x in 5-10 years. Once reached, do it again.
Sometimes it’s easier to find generational companies by having a decade perspective.

What company will be the standout decade winner over the next 10 years?
If you went to bed every night thinking about this question (“What company will be the standout decade winner over the next 10 years?”), I’d imagine you would crush “normal” investment gains.
