What's this you ask?
There's more to 'Top of Town Bradford' story.
Put the kettle on, make yourself a brew, and read about the second part of this AMAZING project https://twitter.com/BradfordMuseums/status/1354046780829216769?s=20

The second part of the 'Top of Town Bradford' project saw us work in partnership with @NewColBradford and Artist, Mahmud Manning.
As part of their A level Geography, Changing Places – Past and Present, Rebranding a Place, students visited Cartwright Hall Art Gallery

They also made use of our extensive Photo Archive, using these images as the basis for much of their work.
As one student so eloquently said:
“I found out that I could draw better than I thought I could”
Given the standard of what we saw, we can assure you that the students were being awfully modest.

After visiting us, the students also visited the 'Top of Town.
One student said:
'The shops, they are the key thing to pull people back up to the Top of Town.'
A very perceptive comment here and vital to the regeneration of the area.

Their observations and ideas were presented in a concertina book which ‘took a line for a walk’ through Top of Town.
Artist, Mahmud Manning, said:
'The Town Heritage project began a dialogue and inquiry which helped raise up the importance of the site, its history and connection to a wider sociological appreciation within the arts, which Cartwright Hall's collection helped elucidate.'

'It would be good to see how this very brief but valued enquiry could be deepened and broadened ...I would like to see how this project could be continued as lead to a further contribution to the urban regeneration which is proposed.'
The Bradford Museums and Art Galleries would like to thank the students at @NewColBradford and congratulate them on all their work.
It was a fantastic collaboration, which led to interesting discussions about our beloved city
