UCP just blocked community and social services (CSS) from appearing before the public accounts committee. Despite the fact that they were recently cancelled, and have not come before the committee since 2017. Thread #ableg
The public accounts committee is responsible for overseeing recommendations of the auditor general, among other things.

Research was done by the LAO, to determine how many outstanding recommendations for each Ministry, and when they last appeared. The UCP ignore it. 2/ #ableg
The proposed UCP list doesn’t even start until April 6. Basically they want to avoid any work in February - meaning the #AbLeg rises and CSS never appears. That Ministry has not come before the committee in the UCP’s term, despite all the changes they made. 3/
This is transparently partisan attempt to avoid any sort of accountability. That’s the thing about the UCP, they can’t even pretend to care about the serious work of governing. All they want to do it hide. UCP members should be embarrassed by their voting record. 4/4 #AbLeg
