New RMI report highlights the opportunity for a rural economic boom driven by clean energy. By 2030, wind and solar revenues could exceed the top three ag products: beef, corn and soy. Great work by @katie_siegner, @BrehmKevin and @mehdyson.

I particularly like the case study on wind product manufacturing in Iowa. The US is blessed with renewable resources as well as a skilled labor force in strong communities, built around valuable manufacturing and grid assets. All stand to benefit from a smart energy transition.
This report pairs well with a timely and interesting thread from @bstorrow on the challenges faced by coal-dependent communities as the coal industry continues to wind down. https://twitter.com/bstorrow/status/1354070094293454849?s=20
