For example, McGregor landed more in the first round against Mendes DESPITE being taken down 3 times. Why? Because he was letting his hands and kicks go constantly.

So, the claims that the old style was better and he should get back to that...well, maybe somewhat? There's definitely going to be a middle ground between what he used to do and is doing now, but simply trying to rewind the clock just reintroduces all the old problems.
