On 26 January 1700, years an estimated M9.2 earthquake rocked the Cascadia Subduction Zone (a 600 mile long region) and affected northern #California, #Oregon, #Washington, and southern #BritishColumbia.

In 2016, a National Level Exercise was held called "Cascadia Rising." One of the key findings was that people need to expect to be self-sufficient for several days more than previously estimated.
