Hopefully this is helpful

Tip #1: Change your mindset
Be open and understand it takes time to learn and adapt to painting. When you set a high expectation but your paintings dont come how you envisioned them, theres a tendency to beat yourself up about it. Allow yourself to learn and grow naturally

Tip #2: Understand basic colors & mixing
With all of my paintings instead of having 50 different tubes of paint colors, I work with the same 5 or 6 and mix colors myself. Not only is it helpful for understanding colors, it saves you money

Tip #3: Try listening to music
For me personally I figured out that when I'm listening to music or podcasts it helps distract me mentally from overthinking what i'm doing. It's a great way to get yourself in a "flow."

Tip #4: Analyze your references
Pictures can look like a few simple colors from far away but if you zoom in theres so many different colors that make up that image. For example, the whites of the eyes may look white far away but up close theres pinks, tans, olive greens, & greys

Tip #5: You don't need fancy art supplies
Let me repeat, you dont need fancy art supplies!
There are a few things I would recommend upgrading like your quality of paint (i use gamblin oils) but as far as brushes and canvases go what you're working with now is perfectly fine
Let me repeat, you dont need fancy art supplies!
