Gareth has had lots of injuries throughout his career meaning it looks like he no longer trusts his body as much as he once did. Moving to striker would considerably limit his running and he could become more of a poacher.

While in Madrid GB adapted his ariel game more, meaning with his height he can get on the end of more set pieces and crosses. His tall stature and increased power make him much more of a suitable no 9.

The "new" Bale:
Since his first spell at Tottenham, Bale has changed a lot. Whether this may be in his game, his ability or age, he isn't the same Bale we all remember. The "newer" version of Bale can rely less on pace and power and more on getting goals.

Confidence:
As we saw last night, although he scored, he also missed many chances. If Bale's sole focus was getting goals, he wouldn't have to worry about any other aspects of his game and the more he scores the more his confidence will increase.

Return on the investment:
We have invested a lot of time and money into Gareth in wages and helping him get fit. Not to mention giving him the opportunity to play again. By scoring more goals as a striker and in general we as fans would feel happy for him and satisfied with him.

Ease the burden on Kane and Son:
Although the magnificent duo have been absolutely amazing this season, we are heavily reliant on them for goals and to change games. If Bale was to become a striker, he could score more goals, therefore easing pressures on Kane and Son.
