It just doesn’t feel ethical for government ministers to be telling us to be mindful, or listen our emotions, etc etc. Fund mental health services please. You’re effectively telling people to “cope” because of a system you’ve created and have the power to fix.

By all means. Please promote messages of self care while ALSO funding proper access to services. But if it’s just messages of self care, by itself? Then that’s an ideology of pushing all mental health responsibility on the individual. Which isn’t right at all
Also, a huge part of self care, and self help, is working on the emotional awareness and personal destigmatization to seek help and know that you need it. To be ok to ask for services. That's not worth much if help doesn't exist because of a lack of resources
