I’m just going to say it: I think all the Fetterman idolization in PA isn’t going to end well.
I don’t know why we continue to idolize white male Democrats who basically seem to want to beat other people to a pulp on our behalf.
I would rather have folks in the Senate who can work with others and who attend caucus meetings and understand rules of order.

I’m not a fan of rage and snark as a leadership tactic.

And I would rather have greater representation in the Senate than one more white straight man.
(Hopefully that’s good enough for those of you who think I’m too cryptic. I’m actually surprised more folks don’t see the pattern.)
Also, I’m just gonna say this: anyone with vicious fans like the ones who have come out on this thread in the last ten minutes also has real problems as a candidate.

I am PA born and raised. Lived in Bucks for the first 18 years. Carnegie Mellon grad.
Stayed two years after college in PGH and did work for the Democratic Party in PGH and Braddock for a whole summer. Went back for a year in 2006.

I know all about Fetterman and his story.

I don’t think he’ll make a good Senator.
See, Fetterman’s fans already sound like another candidate’s in recent memory. Scroll the comments. Not a good sign.
Also you all are making me laugh with your “stop blocking people” comments and shit.

No.

LOL.
Honestly, people need to look further.

PA needs diverse representation in the Senate.

While we’re here, I might as well say that I hope @malcolmkenyatta decides to run. He belongs in Toomey’s old seat, and he’s got what it takes to lead PA into a new era.
Sigh.

You’d think we would have learned something about personality cults in the last four years, but the comments make it obvious that we’ve still got a long way to go.
OK fine, while we're here: everyone should familiarize themselves with the fact that Fetterman held up a Black man who was jogging for no reason when some kids were playing with firecrackers.

Like literally put a shotgun to the man's chest for jogging while Black.
Wasn't prosecuted because he was the mayor. Admitted he broke the law by doing that.

You want that in a Senator, PA? I can't help you.

PA needs and deserves a better candidate.
