With the current administration, this would be a disaster for women & girls!
"Intersectional gender architecture" is management speak for no more single sex rights. NACWG are supposed to represent women, SG policy is for self-ID unless legally prevented. https://www.holyrood.com/news/view,devolve-equalities-law-womens-advisory-council-says?fbclid=IwAR3X78zu3aBsqOCma_k_wkChP8MR7hFNcOzHKuYmhSlxGHvU8YpBvAqq5yU

We note that this is framed as "gender inequality affects everyone".
It mainly hurts women though, and you need to state this.
Intersectionality is not and was never about including men (or everyone). If you do not understand basic feminist theory, maybe don't invoke it?

Because, not so long ago, your QC agreed that you thought you could already "ride roughshod" over it. https://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/scottish-government-can-ride-roughshod-over-equalities-law-row-over-definition-women-new-act-3089086

We need some clarity, and we need the FM to be honest before she erodes women's rights further, hiding behind the skirts of lobby group recommendations, unaccountable working groups, & tortuous, meaningless phraseology.
We want open conversation on the Equality Act.
We want open conversation on the Equality Act.
An open conversation that involves women.
And we'd like to beg @trussliz to formulate guidance from WM on what the law is.
If SG want to oppose UK equality law, let them do it in the open without the pretence we have seen to date.
