Hi @Tesco. Yesterday you sent me, unsolicited, 3 £8 off £40 Clubcard vouchers. Which can ONLY be used in store. You sent them because you "noticed I hadn't been in store much lately". Wonder why? Maybe because there's a global pandemic? Doesn't this seem cycnical and tasteless?
I can only use one at a time at @Tesco, so you're asking me to make three trips. In a pandemic. Specifically BECAUSE you can see I'm staying away – to keep myself and others safe.
But you'd like me to go in 3 times, EVEN THOUGH you can see I've had some deliveries from you, so you're still getting my ££. Why are you trying to lure shoppers into your stores unnecessarily? You know where I live & thus that my local @Tesco is a really busy one.
Make all your @Tesco vouchers online OR in-store. Anything else is deeply cynical and disingenuous.
NB all these @Tesco vouchers are valid only on consecutive weeks. Just gently nudging me back into a weekly shop, while we're on full lockdown. One ending 31 Jan, one 1-7 Feb, one 8-14 Feb. Gross.
What I'd like from this: an apology, a pledge to make your vouchers valid online and in-store, and new vouchers. Don't do this when so many people are suffering, and when we need to be at home as much as possible.
Had a look at the @Tesco account mentions and lots of people are complaining about this, unsurprisingly. Vulnerable people who only use click & collect; people who shop fortnightly at the moment; people who can only shop online.
