The whole idea of Alphas, Betas etc is stupid. It doesn't exist. It doesn't even exist for wolves! It's just nonsense.

I can't believe straight cis men are so brainwashed by patriarchy that they voluntary believe in false hierarchies. https://twitter.com/svr13/status/1354035270308540416
Tell your local budding incel: Wolf packs do NOT have alphas. The entire idea came from scientists who imposed their own ideas of toxic masculinity on animal behavior. All animal communities are inherently cooperative. https://medium.com/swlh/the-misconception-of-alpha-wolves-a298738dbcd0
If men want to learn the lessons of wolf packs, they should learn the real lessons: Cooperation, tending to the weak and small, showing help and being of service to others.

How many men reading this are so brainwashed by the lifelong propaganda of toxic masculinity that instead of changing their "alpha" ideas because wolves are not like that --- will just look for another kind of animal pack that has alphas? NONE DO. ALL communities are cooperative.
While we're here: Human communities are not like animal communities anyway.

We have the power to reason, the ability to behave morally, opposable thumbs, and advanced civilizations. You don't need animal examples for your behavior. You can just...be human.
I reported on Wall Street for my entire career and here's some perspective: However rich and privileged, those guys are not alphas either. They are HEAVILY dependent on network support within the workplace (fellow bros, various social allies) and at home.
The realnprinciple of animal and human behavior is this: If you cut yourself off from the pack, you will have trouble finding resources. This is why rejection hurts: It activates our ancient fear of being cut from support. For straight men, this means emotional resources too.
Since men are so attached to this idea that they are (predictably) arguing in the replies, here is the science. Please do some reading.

Specifically, please note that wolves do not maintain any kind of permanent social status within the pack.

When wolves choose a mate and breed, they become an alpha couple (alpha male and alpha female) and the subordinates are their *children*, not other adult wolves.
That concludes today's Men Are Wrong feature, stay tuned for tomorrow's, because men are wrong every damn day.
