Even if you think "cancel culture" isn't real, it's simply a manifestation of human society's longstanding practices of shunning and shaming those who fall afoul of various codes
you have to acknowledge that social media has given the means and method for it to operate at WARP SPEED. Until very recently, I'd have had some trouble getting hold of a stranger's boss to tell them I found a comment that person made inappropriate. 2/
And I'm repelled by the "come and get your boy", "twitter do your thing" culture of snitching on people, with the assumption their employer should "do something" about them. 3/
Using people's economic security as a weapon against them in a war of social etiquette is frankly atrocious. If you're doing it, cut it out, and stop applauding people who do. 4/4
