We knew from day one that farmer protests will end in violence. Reasons were simple.

1. They refused involvement of supreme court monitored committee.

2. Govt offer of suspending laws for 18 months was turned down.

3. Language used was always like "Kaat denge, maar denge"
4. There was a rally conducted by Sharad Pawar and his cronies in Mumbai yesterday which was a precursor to the violence.

5. More than 80 percent of the farmer unions in the country are in support of the new farm laws.
7. Funding for the protests was coming from Khalistanis based out of Canada and other countries. The plan was to scuttle the reforms so as stop BJP's march into rural heartland of India. Price govt was willing to pay as a part of its "Nation First" policy. Not unexpected.
8. Key protestors and their decision makers were primarily Khalistanis joined by opposition and their sympathizers. That explains the funding for the protests.

8. Date selected by "funding agencies" for violence was 26th January. Big Red Flag!
9. Why would any Indian national in spirit of republic choose 26th January as a date for tractor rally and not 25th January or 27th January? The idea was to bring embarrassment to the nation. Remember it was always "Bharat" vs "The Rest".
It was never about the farm laws. It was always about trying to stop a nation which is making big strides in global arena. Thread ends.
