Having aggregated my own news for a week I've discovered UK media is simplistic garbage...but the American media is now doing surprisingly good COVID reporting so I'll amplify a couple

Whilst the UK media was screaming "X vaccine DOES work against variants", the US media was doing far more balanced and nuanced reporting

There's a LOT we're not being told in the UK, all of which is being publicly reported elsewhere...and it looks like the kneejerk reaction that "Brits know best!" and "How dare you say things we're all in denial about?" are about to blow up in our faces again
There's already a framing around the EU and Astra Zeneca's vaccine, that if the EMA says anything critical it will be "sour grapes" rather than a credible assessment from a reliable authority...so my advice is source information widely, especially from credible sources in the US
The UK information space is heavily degraded by wishful thinking, denial and conspiratorial nonsense like the suggestion the EU would publish something unfavourable about the AZ vaccine to spite them...so extend your visibility into trusted international sources, (CNN, CBS etc),
And this kind of conspiratorial nonsense is exactly why the UK information space is so badly degraded...
