Something happened to my kid few days ago that I think every parents or guardian should learn from.
On Sunday evening, my son was a bit cranky and didn’t want to eat his food, but because he’s an active kid, he jumped around anyway but would stop to cry randomly.

I thought he was being silly, until his bedtime when I switched off his favorite cartoon so he could go to bed. He began crying. He would scream loudly then stop for a few minutes then start again. It was becoming annoying because we kept waking up.
When my husband goes to check, he would keep quiet and moan. We barely slept because we thought he was having a tantrum.
By morning, he continued screaming periodically, until I decided to check his body. I began pressing every part of his body to see if it hurt but he kept staring at me and asking for Elmo. I checked his ears with a torchlight, and could see something deep inside them, and I
immediately suspected an ear infection. I’ve read about it before and how common it was for kids his age, so I called his doctor immediately and she recommended that we take him to an urgent care clinic. My husband took him there,
he got checked out, and they confirmed that they saw an infection in both ears. They also checked for other things, before they gave us a prescription, which we picked up from the pharmacy and gave to him immediately. Day 1 after treatment, he screamed a
little. Day 2, he felt much better and slept through the night. Doctor said he needs to take the drugs for 10 days even if he’s feeling okay (antibiotic).
My son can’t verbalize his feelings yet, so all he does is cry if he’s in pain.

Children can be annoying but I think sometimes, we need to look past the screaming to see if there’s something wrong with them. They could be in pain but because they can’t tell us, we would assume that they are being naughty. Please pay attention.
