Throughout the history of Ganbare Goemon, Ebisumaru's weapon has changed almost every game. His first weapon in Ganbare Goemon 2 for the Famicom was a flute.
In Legend of the Mystical Ninja/GG1, he still retained the flute, but could be upgraded to a party horn at level 3 (collecting two lucky cats).
In Ganbare Goemon 2: Kiteretsu Shogun Magginesu, Ebisumaru received the harisen (fan). The fan is a reference to traditional stand-up comedy in Japan. It's usually associated with Osaka, with performers usually speaking with a Kansai accent (Ebisumaru has one).
In Ganbare Goemon 3, Ebisumaru's weapon was a hula hoop. After freeing the Red Oni from a mirror, he receives a red and white hula hoop, which allows him to latch onto pegs to climb up or down.
In Ganbare Goemon 4, Ebisumaru had a multitude of weapons, but his main one was a ribbon. He also was able to use a gymnastic ball and gymnastic pin.
In Ganbare Goemon: Uchu Kaizoku Akogingu, Ebisumaru gets an extendable boxing glove, which allows him to latch onto a hook to jump to a higher platform. It's a bit of a tricky weapon to start with, but will get used to it over time.
In Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, Ebisumaru uses a mallet as his primary weapon, which can get upgraded. His secondary is a Meatsaw Hammer, which has a greater chance of dropping odango. His tertiary is a camera which can make ghosts appear and reveal Dharumanyo's weak spot.
MNSG marks the only game in the series where Ebisumaru does not have his shuriken as a sub weapon.
In Goemon's Great Adventure, Ebisumaru's weapon is a wooden paddle which can be upgraded over time with lucky cats. He can also use a megaphone that will form stone Japanese letters that can either be used as a platform or hurt enemies.
In Kuru Nara Koi, Ebisumaru uses a frying pan for his main weapon.
In Ganbare Goemon: Mononoke Dochu Tobidase Nabe-Bugyo, Ebisumaru wields a piko piko hammer.
In Ganbare Goemon: Seikushi Dynamites Arawaru, Ebisumaru uses a metal spatula as his main weapon.
In Ganbare Goemon: Mononoke Sugoroku, Ebisumaru wields a plunger as his main weapon.
Because Oedo Daikaiten loves reusing from past Goemon games, Ebisumaru's main weapon is the harisen from Ganbare Goemon 2: Kiteretsu Shogun Magginesu.
Finally, in the DS Goemon game, Ebisumaru's main weapon is Oden, a type of fish cake.
