3mo after public launch, @NBA_TopShot is shooting past @CryptoKitties as top #NFT #blockchain app in P2P marketplace volume with less than 20k users (growing fast)

. @NBA_TopShot on @flow_blockchain solves what held CryptoKitties back on ETH:

– Seamless payments (with credit cards as well as crypto)
– Clear rarities and an accessible economy design
– Blockchain scale without sharding or "layer two" solutions

Even makes sense on TV:

Right now to be honest we're all hands on deck just keeping up with growth on Top Shot – Flow is holding up well, but our servers are on fire, as are our customer service and KYC / AML pipelines – we are hiring amazing people for these positions and will get better quickly

But as soon as we get our head above water, our priority will be sharing learnings and helping creators and community members – whether on @flow_blockchain or @ethereum – bring their magic to more users as well

We believe deeply in open platforms – and will continue proving it

On Eth, @CryptoKitties demos #NFTs but is held back bc of UX, scalability, AND the difficulty in making economy upgrades to our smart contracts

Case in point: it would cost ~$1.5m per day in fees to keep up with the 30k daily transactions #TopShot is sending if it was on Eth

On @flow_blockchain, CryptoKitties will demo the full power of composability, on-chain storage, and crypto for consumer apps – we can add new features, genes, breeding components, and extensibility for third party developers without affecting the core trust of the collector
