4. I made this thread because I see too many people confusing the two.
Garcetti is NOT in charge of LA County or its public health policies, but enforces them within the City of LA.
@lapublichealth is run by Dr. Barbara Ferrer, who was appointed by the LA Board of Supervisors

5. There are A LOT more people involved in local governance (There are 88 cities in LA County!), and turnout for local elections in Los Angeles has been historically low (20% in 2017!)
