I am 42 years old and have lived off takeout, microwave meals, and sandwiches my entire adult life so I got a subscription to Hello Fresh and bought a lot of kitchen stuff just to see if maybe I can make myself like to cook? Stay tuned!
I might post pictures of what I cook because I’m me and you can feel free to ignore that.
I just got the app and read one of the recipes I ordered and all one billion steps
I’m supposed to be boiling something in a pot while I’m browning something in a pan are you fucking serious
OH SO COOKING IS FOR PEOPLE WITH A WELL-DEVELOPED EXECUTIVE FUNCTION ok I get it I’ll try
My first delivery comes Friday and I’m kind of excited but I just found out I can’t put my pans in the dishwasher cooking seems like it sucks tbh
ok I’m hearing just to put my pans in the dishwasher anyway and I like that
Ok I made my first meal! Italian Chicken over Lemony Spaghetti with Zucchini. It was the first thing I’ve ever cooked where I had to actively monitor multiple processes at once and it was very difficult to me & the meal wasn’t exactly
hot
when it was all done but I am proud!

Tonight I made pineapple chicken tacos. It was supposed to be mango so I reported it and they gave me a $9 credit which is pretty good considering I like pineapple better.
This was a “one pan” meal but I had to make salsa and crema in separate bowls so I think that’s cheating

Cavitappi Beef Ragu. My timing was better tonight getting the pasta finished at the nearly the same time as the sauce. I like how they hide vegetables in the food for picky eaters like me. This had carrots in it for no reason but I couldn’t taste them so it was fine.
oh also guys I’m really sorry if this is boring to you. It keeps me accountable so I’m just going to do it for a while like how some people tweet about their running or whatever. But it won’t be forever. I wish you could mute another person’s thread but you can’t. Stupid Twitter.
