(1) Okay, I was thinking on whether or not to do a tweet on this subject, but if it helps others, I'm game for it. Let's do one on the fear of the unpardonable sin and being afraid of being unredeemable. I hope to shine more light on this subject to help relieve your afflictions.
(2) First: God didn't give you a spirit of fear, nor is the spirit of fear from God (there is the fear of God or the fear of the LORD), but those are different from what the spirit of fear and anxiety are. Besides, He wants to give power, love, and sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:6).
(3) Second, if you are afraid of committing the unpardonable sin, or you are pretty sure you think you've committed it and you're super paralyzed in fear, or you think you're unredeemable, and you want to be family to Jesus. then you haven't committed that unpardonable sin.
(4) You might ask, what's the unpardonable sin? You can find references in Matthew 12:22-32; Mark 3:20-30; Luke 11:14-23; 12:10. These mention Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. What does that entail? Some might say attributing the work of the Holy Spirit to the Enemy.
(5) Or some might even say it's attributing the Holy Spirit's nature to the Enemy, these explanations are pretty good for what that sin is, but I think we can go even deeper. In Romans 1 verse 30; God-haters. John 16:8-11; He convicts and tells of Satan's judgement.
(6) So, it would be reasonable to believe that the unpardonable sin is actually hatred toward the Holy Spirit, because if you do some cross-references, it says this sin will not be forgiven. Why? Because that person's heart is so hardened with hatred, they cannot repent.
(7) This kind of sin, it doesn't happen overnight, even Romans chapter 1 implies that it doesn't happen overnight. Even if someone were to attack another believer, risking attacking the anointing or someone deliberately keeps sinning and risking attacking their own anointing.
(8) (Matthew 5:21-26; Hebrews 10:26-31), even if you've said some stuff against the Holy Spirit (whether you are an apostate, atheist, or even a Christian who slipped the tongue, etc.), if you can repent and ask for forgiveness, you haven't committed this sin. (John 6:37).
(9) Remember, God is slow to anger. It says at least nine times in the Old Testament and listen, find other promises to be put to ease, 2 Peter 3:9 for example. People who have committed this sin, don't care or they bask in it with no regrets.
(10) Another one to talk about, blasphemous thoughts, if you are having unwanted blasphemous thoughts, even if they are against the Holy Spirit, you haven't committed the unpardonable sin either. You might have another problem. Ask the Holy Spirit to search you and help you.
(11) Here's some examples of what it could be, like I said, allow the Holy Spirit to search you and help you though. You might be going through spiritual warfare, you might be suffering from Religious OCD (which treat that as a symptom, not the root, legalism likely)
(12) Lack of faith, lack of receiving/accepting the love of God, a wounded heart that has been in that state for a long time, etc. I would also check out Mark DeJesus and Kathleen Kaczmarek too for more info and to hear their testimonies.
(13) Oh, if you don't know what I'm talking about with the attacking the anointing, take for a what example what the Pharisees said to Jesus, whom is the Truth, about the Holy Spirit, whom is the Spirit of Truth. If the Pharisees didn't do it, they came close to doing it.
(14) But remember friends: gather, don't scatter, be family to Jesus, and practice the presence of God. I hope this helpful for you.
