I hate TERFs for a lot of things, but one thing that infuriates me is them infiltrating queer spaces and convincing kids that "queer" is a bad word, akshually. They don't like the word bc it unites us and erases barriers like the gender binary. They're trying to divide us.
Queer studies, queer history, queer cinema are actual academic terms. Learn your history. Don't let hateful propaganda keep you from educating yourself or coming together for political power. We get things done TOGETHER. We're powerful TOGETHER. LGB organizations hate that.
Please don't throw away the power of collective action simply bc people who hate your existence want to weaken your voice and erode your identity.
And yeah, not everyone has to identify as queer, that's fine. But if you're going up to people who DO identify that way or who refer to the fields of queer academia and say "you can't say that or identify that way, it's a slur," that's TERF propaganda.
