The term "Senate power sharing agreement" is misleading. No reporter or pundit should be using it. When it's 50-50, both sides do have to sign off on an agreement. But calling it a "power sharing agreement" implies power will be shared. False. Democrats will maintain the power.
We're seeing a number of reporters and pundits emphasizing the term "power sharing agreement" because they're trying to falsely make you think Democrats have caved, in the hope it'll bait you into clicking on their story. Literally the definition of clickbait.
Some folks on our side are DESPERATE for us lose, so they'll have something you can rage about and foam at the mouth about. They're willing to sabotage our leaders just to make sure we lose and they can rage. These people are fucked up and they do real harm to our side.
As for the rest of you, stop assuming Schumer and Senate Democrats are helpless stupid children who don't have any idea what they're doing. They a thousand times more savvy and knowledgeable about this stuff than you. Stop trying to destroy your own leaders, you dummies.
Y'all spend the first half of 2019 trying to do the exact same thing to Pelosi, because you didn't understand how impeachment worked, and you didn't understand why she was strategically expressing "hesitance" in public right up until the moment she pulled the impeachment trigger.
If you don't understand how negotiating leverage works, stop giving shit to the people who do understand how negotiating leverage works. Some of you honestly think you're smarter and savvier about how to navigate Senate procedures than Chuck Schumer is. Give me a break.
"But why isn't Schumer explaining everything that he's doing?" Because his job is to win. His job isn't to coddle you like a child while he's trying to win. He can't publicly explain every step of his negotiating strategy while he's trying to carry it out. Not how anything works.
"But why don't they just..." This is honestly one of the dumbest questions in existence. It's always a clueless person asking why smart and knowledgeable people don't just wave some magic wand that doesn't exist. If negotiating at this level were that simple, anyone could do it.
I had to spend the first half of 2019 defending Pelosi against an army of know-nothings who were trying to destroy her because she wasn't willing to wave a magic wand. She was 100% vindicated on all that. Don't do the same stupid shit to Schumer now. We don't have time for that.
