(THREAD) Sesshomaru and Towa: The Silent Heartbreak

These two have gone through so much in their lives

1)Everyone talks about Rin & Setsuna having it hard & struggling, but Sesshomaru and Towa have it hard just as much. They have gone through hardships & distress. However, for them it's more on the emotional side. In this thread it will bring light to the best father & daughter

2)Starting with Sesshomaru, he is an eye sore when it comes to determining his background/relationship with Toga. This varies for everyone, but for me Sesshomaru's attitude connects back to his father and childhood.

3)I've seen many people say Sesshomaru got it from his mother or he just developed it cause of his feelings. However how i see it, personality is determined a lot by how you were raised or the experiences you go through

4)Also I believe it also comes with his relationship with his father. I think Sesshomaru felt betrayed or unworthy and took anger out obviously wrongly. I feel Sesshomaru felt betrayed that Toga seemed to favor Inuyasha/Izayoi over him even going to the length of dying for them

5)Unworthy as he received the "less" powerful of the two heirlooms, while a baby got the "more" powerful one. And Sesshomaru being the eldest, experienced, and more powerful one had to of struck a nerve of pain and annoyance. You can argue that Toga left Tenseiga to Sesshomaru to

6)teach him a lesson (which he did), but you also need to think about if it was you. I doubt you'd accept and love if your younger siblings whom is weaker/unknowledgeable then you got a powerful weaponry from you ruler/daiyokai father

7)And once Sesshomaru found love even if it was for very few. it was ripped from him. He can only watch the one person he loves the most in a tree not being able to twitch her finger, for 10 years straight. And he never saw his kids for 10 years. The last time he saw them was

8)when they were children. And he was forced to only nod, when talk of them being killed in a fire was happening. That will hurt knowing he has to play dumb in order to keep the ones he loves safe. This even extends to his brother, sister (kagome), and niece

9)As for Towa, out of the family she has the least hardships, but they are still there. Towa longed for setsuna for 10 years. 10 years she was separated from the person she remembers and loves the most. And even though she still does love the higurashi's she even admitted that

10)Mei was like a replacement for Setsuna. Also going along with memories, Towa is also missing memories. At the very least Jaken was with the twins in the barrier as their guardian most of the time and so far Rin is another one whom was most probably there as well (hopefully)

11) And she doesn't remember her caretaker. Imagine how hard that's going to hurt her when the family is reunited and she remembers that. she also will probably blame herself as well. Towa blamed herself for letting go of Setsuna's hand and her memories gone because of it

12)Now imagine when she finds out, her mother is stuck in a coma in the tree tied to Setsuna. Towa will probably feel the need to blame herself as well. And just like her parents and sister, the family was ripped from her as well.

13)making it more heartbreaking, Rin&Setsuna are the equivalents to Towa& Sess. Rin being most important for Sess. Setsuna being most important for Towa. Both have needs to protect them & do anything they can for them. Towa&Sess both feel responsible for their current state

I maybe a little biased as Sesshomaru and Towa are my favorites, but putting that aside, these two have hardships just as much. These two babies deserve so much love
